In the summer of 2021, the International Ocean Discovery Program hosted a two day conference on Preparing the Next Generation of Geoscientists. In the second day of this event, we presented around the question: How can scientific ocean drilling best prepare the next generation of Earth Scientists? and more specifically: How can scientific ocean drilling's professional development be enhanced to develop critical scientific and transdisciplinary skills for educators?
