Justice and Action for Climate Empowerment Brief
This multi-author brief highlights and supports justice efforts in ACE work from different viewpoints across the global climate space. The white paper was then re-adapted and edited in April 2023 and will be published on Wiley Online in the WIREs Climate Change Journal.
Guide for Inclusive Science Meetings
In collaboration with 500 Women Scientists, Deb co-facilitated the workshop on equity in geoscience that lead to the final publication that was co-written in design meetings with 500 Women Scientists, Earth Science Women's Network, Aspen Global Change Institute and the American Geophysical Union.
Prepping the Next Generation of Earth Scientists
Deb presented a talk, How can scientific ocean drilling's professional development be enhanced to develop critical scientific and transdisciplinary skills for educators?, in association with IODP for their two day conference on Preparing the Next Generation of Geoscientists.
UNESCO Futures Forum
In the fall of 2020, UNESCO organized a Futures Literacy Summit to bring together people from around the world to discuss and dream about learning broadly. Deb was able to participate and elevate the work on the US ACE efforts and specifically her book, Empowering Climate Action in the United States
Smithsonian NESST
Deb was an advisor and participated in several working groups surrounding curriculum design of the global Network for Emergent Socio-Scientific Thinking (NESST at the Smithsonian in 2022.
Adaptation Learning Network
Deb co-designed and participated in the panel, Climate Action: Designing with Policy in Mind, at Royal Roads University in BC, Canada.
UNFCCC Climate Dialogues
Deb co-facilitated a session in the Fall 2020 virtual UNFCCC Climate Dialogues as part of a RINGO side event in collaboration with a variety of non-profit organizations across North America to share emerging learning around climate justice learning across varied contexts.
UNFCCC ACE Activity Series 2021
As part of our work within ECOS, we were invited to help facilitate the First Expert Group Meeting on ACE at the ACE Activity Series 2021 held by the UNFCCC on April 14, 2021, virtually.
UN Education, Communications, and Outreach (ECOS) Community
Deb has been involved in ECOS since 2019 in leadership and coordination roles and Chris and Haley since 2021. ECOS is a network of climate actors and organizations across the UNFCCC sphere promoting policy writing in order to create system changes within the UN or local government's actions.
PCCB Network - Climate Storyteller Workshop Series
Climate Storytellers Workshop series was created in collaboration with Digital Storytellers and the Paris Committee of Capacity Building (PCCB Network) of the UNFCCC.

Climate Literacy and Energy Awareness Network (CLEAN)
CLEAN is the Climate Literacy and Energy Awareness Network. Dr. Deb L. Morrison is a member of CLEAN and has supported their work by speaking on panels and advising their continuing work in the education sphere.
Environmental Defense Fund
The ECJ Training is a 9-month training including a two-day in-person intensive training in DC followed by monthly online sessions to introduce new skills. Each month introduces a new Module, with an associated tool, for conducting ECJ work at EDF and overcoming workstream challenges.
DSCEJ: Environmental Climate Justice Storytellers Internship
For this project, 17 high school interns representing five states around the Gulf of Mexico will partner with regional experts in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine (STEMM), to chronicle stories of vulnerable communities adversely affected by climate change.

This community based collaborative project with the W̱SÁNEĆ people and other peoples from across the Salish Sea Communities explored climate change science from the multiple lenses and histories of indigenous and non-indigenous peoples.
West Coast Climate Action Network
This project involved bringing together hundreds of small community climate action organizations to network, resource, learn, and act together through learning design to bring about organizational change.
Wildfire and Climate Change in the Gulf Islands
Deb designed, in collaboration with David Osborne and Katie Dentry of FireSmart Saturna, a series of workshops regarding wildfire risk enhanced by climate change in rural island communities.
